COMMUNITY GARDEN

"The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just the body, but the soul."
-Alfred Austin

Newton County's First Community Garden

This area struggles with access to food and having a community garden gives you an option for fresh produce. Come and enjoy the hobby of growing your own food as well as providing for your family.

SMALL BUT MIGHTY!

Volunteering in the garden can bring you the joy of enjoying a hobby on a small scale with shared responsibility. Whatever is in excess on Wednesdays is provided to our food pantry for others to enjoy. There are many valuable health benefits from giving back to other. Come spend a couple minutes enjoying the garden and see for yourself!

***Thank you to NN landscaping class for the ongoing plant donations and Bayer-DeKalb Remington for the raised beds and garden materials grant award.

MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK!
